Summary: Entry level position which provides customer service duties in support of auto and property operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities: Issues motor vehicle license plates and registration renewal stickers; Processes title applications and transfers; Issues disability placards; Processes WebAgent Registrations; Collects current and delinquent ad valorem taxes; Processes dealer title applications over the counter and/or those submitted on WebDEALER; Receives voter registration applications and routes to Voter Department; Assists customers by telephone, in person to determine proper data to process motor vehicle titles/registration/renewals, tax payments.
Other Job Functions: Performs other job related duties, as directed.

Education & Experience: High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Limited broad knowledge of tax office operations or closely related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Proficient with all Microsoft Microsoft Office software including, but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook; Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; Accurate mathematical skills, ability to handle cash transactions, and balance daily; Able to demonstrate high level thinking skills, including critical and analytical thinking, creative thinking, and process problem solving skills.
Equipment Used: Personal computer; various tax office related computer programs; Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, 10-key adding machine/calculator; other general office equipment as needed.
Work Situations/Demands/Efforts: Work requires organizing; prioritizing accuracy; attention to detail; flexibility in order to perform a variety of duties; performing routine, repetitive duties; meeting frequent deadlines; working in high volume environment; working with money; works independently within established guidelines and timeframe; requires assistance only with unusual, non-routine matters or situations.
Working Conditions: Work is performed primarily in a climate controlled open office environment which is shared with other employees and is readily accessible to the general public.
Physical Requirements: Work is primarily sedentary with intermittent standing, bending, crouching, or stooping. Duties require occasional lifting of light and heavy objects.
