Bus Monitors assist the driver with loading and unloading students and with student management on the school bus.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE (Minimum Qualifications)
- Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described within this job description.
- Ability to communicate fluently verbally and in writing in English.
- Ability to get a type 10/20 license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience as an instructional assistant in a k-12 environment.
- Experience as a bus aide with SPED students.
- Bilingual Spanish
COMPENSATION
- Wage Schedule: $18.69-$24.19
- Work days: 180 (10 month)
- Personal days, Sick days
- Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
- Life insurance, AD&D, long term disability included (optional insurances available)
- JCSD 509-J pays the employee's share (6%) of the Public Employees Retirement System Contribution
- Employment contingent upon a successful outcome of Fingerprinting and Background check. (The $82.50 fee associated with criminal history record checks & fingerprinting, shall be the responsibility of the individual at the time of hire.)
