POSITION: Athletic Director
LOCATION: Jefferson County Middle School
CLOSING DATE: Until Filled
START DATE: October 5 , 2026
STIPEND: $6981.72-$10,472.42
JOB GOAL: To coordinate middle school athletic program in accordance with District policy/philosophy and applicable rules
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: (not necessarily limited to)
- Provides assistance in selection, assignment, evaluation and supervision of middle school coaches.
- Fosters positive school/community/student relations through appropriate publicity, communications with parents, coordination of pep assemblies and award assemblies
- Arranges practice and game schedules for all middle school sports
- Develops and maintains communication links with high school coaches to enhance coordinated athletic programs.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Experience coaching/teaching at the middle school level
- Familiarity with Athletic Policies and Procedures and the 509-J School District and communities
