What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teacher position at Jefferson County R-VII?
- Must have completed a minimum of 36 semester hours of credit from a regionally accredited, academic degree-granting, college or university, or successfully completed a 20 hour department approved substitute teacher training.
- Substitute teachers provide a valuable service to the students of our district. Substitute teachers are expected to follow the regular teachers’ prepared lesson plans. The district expects the substitute teacher to teach the students the material to be presented in the lesson plans. Substitute teaching is not to be viewed as a supervision/classroom monitor position. Substitute teaching is a teaching position.
