The Jefferson County Buildings and Grounds Department is currently seeking applications for Assistant Building Maintenance Mechanic. The position is 40 hours per week. Primary responsibilities will be cleaning/custodial duties, grounds maintenance and general upkeep of buildings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- One year of experience in general building construction, maintenance or repair work in one or more of the standard trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, etc.; OR
- Three years of experience assisting in general building construction, maintenance or repair work in one or more of the standard trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, etc.; OR
- An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
Special Requirement: Appointees will be required to possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or otherwise demonstrate their ability to meet transportation needs of the job.
Salary Range: $20.28 per hour - $23.91 per hour
