Requirements
-Must have an active drivers license and personal vehicle with reliable transportation
-Must be able to stand and walk long distances
-Must be flexible and open to work in in a variety of environments.
-Must be available to work 40 hours /wk; and available for occasional weekends and evenings
-Must be PRSS certified or be working towards obtaining certification.
Job Duties
- Provide peer support and coaching to individuals with behavioral health and addiction challenges
- Assist individuals in accessing community resources and support services
- Serve as a community liaison, networking, creating, and maintaining community partnerships
- Initiate and conduct outreach activities and events
- Assist participants with transportation for medical and social services
- Collaborate with other members of the treatment team to develop individualized care plans
- Conduct assessments and screenings to identify needs and barriers to recovery
- Facilitate group sessions and workshops on topics related to addiction, mental health, and wellness
Qualifications
- Experience working in peer support or coaching role is highly desirable
- Knowledge of motivational interviewing techniques and crisis intervention strategies
- Familiarity with behavioral health systems and resources
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
