What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registration Representative (Day Shift: Monday - Friday and every 6th Saturday) position at Jefferson County Health Center?
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Registers patients for services in a courteous, accurate, and timely manner. Operates the Health Center switchboard and provides information in the most courteous and efficient manner that is in compliance with HIPAA Privacy Guidelines, the Health Center’s compliance guidelines, and the patient/visitor needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required; one to two years of college preferred
- One-year experience in a health center, physician’s office, or similar medical preferred.
- Experience with automated systems desirable and knowledge of various PC programs including Microsoft Word and Excel.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Reports to Registration Supervisor
