Description
As part the newly established Early Childhood Council for Jefferson, Gilpin and Clear Creek Counties, we are seeking an Early Childhood Navigation Specialist to support childcare providers and community partners across the three-county region. This position supports early care and education providers in connecting to services and supports through outreach, navigation, and technical assistance.
Schedule
This position allows for a hybrid work schedule, both remote/community and in-office as determined by business needs.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION DEPENDENT ON AVAILABLE FUNDS.
Compensation
Hiring Range: $29.29 – $34.17 USD Hourly
Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills.

Essential Duties
- Coordinate provider intake, referrals, and ongoing relationships with childcare centers, family childcare homes, and community partners.
- Support providers in navigating licensing, Universal Preschool (UPK), CCCAP, Colorado Shines, and other funding and workforce opportunities.
- Provide technical assistance, resource navigation, and timely responses to provider questions and needs.
- Fulfill Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) responsibilities including provider outreach, data collection, record maintenance, and resource dissemination.
- Maintain accurate databases, provider records, and program reporting to ensure grant and state compliance.
- Develop and distribute communication materials, provider updates, and outreach resources.
- Coordinate trainings, meetings, and community engagement activities with early childhood stakeholders.
- Collaborate with local agencies, school districts, and community organizations to strengthen the early childhood system.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience: Three (3) years of work-related experience
- Certifications/Licenses: None
- Note an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable
- Knowledge of Colorado early childhood systems, including licensing, CCCAP, UPK, Colorado Shines, workforce initiatives, and community-based resources.
- Experience collaborating with childcare providers, schools, community organizations, family-serving agencies, and other diverse stakeholders.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills to coordinate activities effectively.
- Ability to manage deadlines, data tracking, documentation, and grant-funded program reporting requirements with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Criminal History and MVR Background Checks are required for every position.

- A valid Colorado driver’s license is required for positions that drive on County Business in either a county or personal vehicle shall have a Colorado Driver’s license within 30 days of hire or beginning to serve as an intern or volunteer.
