Early Childhood Development Specialist
Jefferson County Child Development Council, Inc. is seeking a full-time Early Childhood Development (ECD) Specialist.
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Early Childhood Development , the Early Childhood Development Specialist (ECDS) will oversee Early Head Start and Head Start program activities in assigned service areas. Supervise, monitor, and evaluate FCC providers as assigned. Support family childcare providers, center-based teachers, and ensure the provision of quality services at each family childcare home, childcare center and provide educational resources for FCC Providers, staff, and parents.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Child Development, or a qualified related field. At least five years ‘of experience working with children ages birth to five. In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations, early childhood curricula and assessment tools, and early childhood certification and credentialing. Computer expertise including Microsoft Office Suites, Child Plus, and data storage/usage. Strong organizational skills, and the ability to monitor and prioritize workload and meet strict deadlines. The ability to review, aggregate, and analyze data to prepare outcome reports is a must.
Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual preferred.
