The Jefferson County Area Agency on Aging has a career opportunity in their Protective Service department. This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week Monday through Friday. Job duties include investigating reports of abuse and exploitation to help reduce or remove the risk to the older adult. Travel throughout the county is required.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree with 12 credits in Psychology, Sociology, or social welfare, gerontology or other related social sciences and at least one (1) year of direct aging case work experience required. Benefit package includes health, disability, life insurance, and 403b plan. Paid vacation, sick time and personal days. Starting wage $16.00.
