Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Fairfield, IA for a Paramedic. In this role, you will provide advanced pre-hospital care, administer life-saving treatments, and support patient transport. Key responsibilities include responding to emergency medical calls, assessing patients' conditions, collaborating with other healthcare providers, and documenting patient care reports. You will also assist in inventory management, ensure that equipment is operational, and participate in ongoing training.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in administering advanced pre-hospital care and managing emergency medical equipment
- Strong ability to assess patient conditions and make critical decisions under pressure
- Competence in completing detailed and accurate patient care reports
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration in high-stress situations
- Current Paramedic certification and valid licensure in the State of Iowa
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
- Physical stamina to handle physically demanding tasks and to work extended hours as needed
- Experience with ALS protocols is preferred
- Two years of experience as a Paramedic is a plus
