JCC is seeking to hire a Part-Time Professional for the role Community Relations Associate for the 2026 - 2027 academic year. This is a grant-funded position through November 2026. Estimated 20 hours per week. Rate of pay is $21.00/hr.
The Community Relations Associate will assist the Director of Military Enrollment and Workforce Solutions to support and build SUNY Apprenticeship Programs (SAP) through general workforce development administrative effort. Duties include supporting the existing apprenticeship program administration, assisting with new student registrations, employer invoicing, and related apprenticeship grant management.
The SUNY Apprenticeship Program (SAP) assists in developing pre-apprenticeships and Registered Apprenticeships in advanced manufacturing, healthcare/human services, and other sectors (non-construction). In partnership with New York State Department of Labor's (NYSDOL) Apprenticeship Office and SUNY System Administration's Office of Community Colleges and the Education Pipeline, the SAP program leverages the resources and capacity of SUNY community colleges, as well as other SUNY institutions, to provide expertise and support to expand Registered Apprenticeships in emerging fields, benefiting both workers seeking jobs and employers seeking to fill roles. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with effective solutions; high level of interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; computer proficiency in desktop office application.
Required: Bachelor's degree;
Preferred: Prior program coordinator or technical support experience; three years of professional experience.
