The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications. Jefferies is seeking an equity research associate to join our team covering Consumer (Beverages, Consumer Products, Health & Wellness). Coverage areas include leading and emerging brands, suppliers, distributors, innovators, and retailers across the consumer landscape.
Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting proprietary research evaluating the competitive landscape, analyzing industry news and company filings, attending conferences, and speaking with key opinion leaders
- Interfacing with company management teams, internal sales and trading personnel, and institutional investors
- Building and maintaining financial models and proprietary databases
- Writing research reports for initiations of coverage, analysis of data, and industry/company news
- Conceiving and executing on differentiated project ideas
- 2 years experience in equity research, investment banking, buyside or industry role
- Proficiency in written/verbal communication, and in managing financial & data models utilizing Excel
- Solid ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Interested in the industry topic area, with some degree of familiarity with the industry as analyst or consumer
- Motivated, creative, committed, detail-oriented, collaborative
- Aspiration to develop coverage independence over time

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
