Role Summary:
Support the FP&A team in analyzing, consolidating, reporting, and forecasting firm-wide financials for senior management and the CFO organization. This VP role is responsible for delivering accurate, timely consolidated reporting while working collaboratively across multiple teams including Business Unit FP&A, FP&A Expense Teams, COOs and Controllers.
As a strategic partner, the VP position will play a pivotal role in executing our technology transformation roadmap—specifically the implementation of Board Enterprise Planning—while liaising with Front Office COO teams, IT FP&A, and development teams.
Core Responsibilities:
Firmwide consolidation, reporting, and analytics
- Consolidate comprehensive financial forecasts across the Firm's budget and outlook, encompassing Investment Banking and Capital Markets revenue-generating businesses, ensuring alignment with firm-wide assumptions and CFO guidance
- Produce critical management reporting (Budget / Forecast / Actuals) across revenues, expenses, headcount, and key balance sheet/capital metrics, delivering clear variance analysis with meaningful business drivers
- Prepare executive-ready materials for quarterly reviews (CFO decks, Board materials, management summaries), translating complex financial results into concise narratives with actionable insights
- Deliver structured business driver analysis examining volume, pricing, mix, market impacts, compensation ratios, and non-compensation trends while proactively identifying risks and opportunities
- Serve as a trusted analytical partner to the CFO organization, providing responsive support for ad-hoc analyses and fast-turnaround requests tied to strategic initiatives, resource allocation decisions, and critical management questions
Process and technology improvement
- Co- Lead Board Enterprise Planning implementation efforts by translating business requirements into sustainable reporting solutions, problem-solving technical challenges, and delivering against the project roadmap while managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectation
- Champion continuous improvement of end-to-end planning and reporting processes through standardization, simplification, and best-practice implementation
- Drive tool and process enhancements that improve efficiency, transparency, and forecast accuracy across the FP&A function
Communication and stakeholder management
- Communicate clearly and confidently with senior stakeholders; present results, drivers, and recommendations in a succinct and structured manner. Build strong working relationships across teams and demonstrate sound judgment in prioritization, escalation, and issue resolution.

Qualifications:
- 10-15 years of progressive FP&A experience, preferably in financial services
- Proficiency in enterprise planning tools (Essbase, Board, Power BI experience highly valued) and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills (complex models, pivots, power query) to manage data efficiently
- Strong financial modeling, consolidation, and variance analysis capabilities
- Understanding of Investment Banking and Capital Markets business models, revenue drivers, and expense structures
- Project leadership: Proven track record managing cross-functional initiatives with competing priorities
- Strong communication (written and verbal) with the ability to turn complex analysis into clear messaging for senior audiences. Collaborative influence: Natural relationship-builder who can partner effectively across organizational boundaries
Education:
Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related quantitative field
Advanced degree (MBA, CFA) a plus but not required
Primary Location: New York Full Time Salary Range of $180,000-$200,000.
