We're hiring: Senior Accountant, General Accounting ๐ณ
Jeffco Public Schools serves 69,000 students across 155 schools. Behind every classroom is a general ledger that has to be right, and we're looking for the person who makes sure it is.
This role sits at the center of our Accounting and Financial Reporting team. You'll protect the integrity of the general ledger, carry real ownership in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, and serve as the primary accounting liaison for our charter schools.

โธ Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules
โธ Support close and annual reporting, including CDE Financial Data Pipeline and Transportation 40 submissions
โธ Guide charter schools on funding, debt activity, banking, and year-end reporting
โธ Build schedules and support for our external audit
โธ Help shape our financial systems through testing, upgrades, and implementation work
โธ Train and support colleagues across departments and schools

โธ Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (experience may substitute)
โธ Five years in accounting, finance, or audit

โธ The ability to explain complex financial information clearly to any audience
