Position Summary

Jeff Wyler Acura of Dayton is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Parts Counter / Driver to support the daily operations of the Parts Department. This position is responsible for assisting retail and wholesale customers with parts inquiries and sales, maintaining accurate inventory records, and delivering automotive parts and supplies to customers and vendors. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, attention to detail, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to providing exceptional support both at the parts counter and on delivery routes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist retail and wholesale customers at the parts counter by identifying, locating, and selling the correct automotive parts and accessories.
• Answer phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries regarding parts availability, pricing, and orders.
• Process parts orders accurately using dealership computer systems and maintain proper documentation.
• Deliver automotive parts and accessories to customers, vendors, and dealership locations in a timely and professional manner.
• Pick up parts, supplies, and other dealership-related items from vendors and suppliers as needed.
• Verify delivery orders, invoices, and parts shipments to ensure accuracy before departure and upon delivery.
• Obtain customer signatures and maintain accurate delivery records.
• Load, unload, stock, and organize parts inventory while ensuring products are handled safely and without damage.
• Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, receiving shipments, and maintaining an organized parts warehouse.
• Maintain regular communication with customers, service advisors, technicians, and the Parts Manager regarding parts status and delivery schedules.
• Keep delivery vehicles clean, fueled, and properly maintained; report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Follow all dealership policies, safety procedures, and traffic regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
• Assist with additional departmental duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
• Previous delivery, warehouse, automotive, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and vehicles is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
