Automotive Technician - Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic abilities, hands-on repair experience, and a commitment to delivering high-quality automotive service. This role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicle systems while ensuring safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on various vehicle makes and models

• Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical, electrical, and performance issues

• Conduct routine services including oil changes, brake service, tire replacement, and fluid checks

• Repair or replace vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, suspensions, and electrical systems

• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex issues

• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper performance

• Maintain accurate service records and documentation

• Follow manufacturer guidelines and company procedures for repairs and maintenance

• Communicate repair recommendations and findings with service advisors and management

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• 3–5 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Experience with modern diagnostic tools and equipment

• Knowledge of automotive systems including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, HVAC, and electrical

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE certifications (A1–A8) or Master Technician status

• Experience with dealership or high-volume service environments

• State inspection or emissions certification (if applicable)
