Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and handle all front desk duties with professionalism, including answering multi-line phone systems and scheduling appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and assist with billing .
- Manage patient intake, update medical records, and review documentation for accuracy in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Maintain accurate filing of dental and medical records.
- Support office management by handling clerical tasks such as data entry, typing reports, and managing office supplies
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries professionally and maintaining a positive office environment
Skills
- Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and health information management practices useful.
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (including 10 key typing), and familiarity with dental software like Dentrix useful.
- Excellent phone etiquette with multi-line phone system experience; capable of managing appointment scheduling and patient intake smoothly
- Prior clinic or dental office experience is not necessary.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
