This position plays a vital role in safely transporting heavy construction equipment and materials to and from job sites across the region. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience operating low-boy trucks or handling heavy haul loads, along with a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities:
• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload heavy equipment, machinery, and materials.
• Operate lowboy and heavy haul trucks in compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
• Inspect and maintain assigned equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Coordinate with supervisor to meet scheduling and delivery needs.
• Maintain accurate trip logs, inspection reports, and load documentation.
• Comply with all state and federal transportation regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily.
• Represent Asbell Companies in a professional manner at all times.
Qualifications:
• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in lowboy or heavy haul driving preferred.
• Experience hauling oversized and overweight loads a plus.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement practices.
• Ability to operate and maneuver heavy trucks and trailers in tight job sites.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and self-motivated.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and secure heavy equipment components.
• Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
• Tolerance for outdoor work in various weather conditions.
