CIVIL ESTIMATOR
Asbell Companies is currently seeking a civil estimator for our Carl Junction, MO corporate office location. Successful candidate will be working within the estimating department to bid roads, building pads, storm water collection systems, domestic water lines and sanitary sewer. The estimator is responsible for developing accurate and timely proposals to ensure Asbell is a competitive, responsive bidder.

Qualifications
- Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree is preferred
- Knowledgeable and experienced in civil construction and earthwork, including quantifying, and understanding costs involved with self-performing these scopes
- Extensive knowledge of construction means, methods, costs, and engineering principles
- Able to work independently without supervision and work well with a team
- Accurately interprets written information associated with projects including plans and specifications
- Able to assemble an estimate based on understanding the clients needs, without bid documents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced computer skills with estimating software,
- Preferably highly proficient in selected software (Excel, Word, Outlook), HCSS Heavy Bid estimating software, Earthwork 4D, and Onscreen Takeoff
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced, changing environment
