This role is central to ensuring exceptional product quality, operational efficiency, and a healthy, positive work environment.As Zooies expands, the Senior Operations Manager will be considered for promotion to Chief Operations Officer based on performance, leadership, and alignment with company goals.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain a clean, organized, safe, and productive bakery environment.Manage inventory, ordering, vendor relationships, and supply chain needs.Collaborate with ownership and kitchen leadership on production planning, prep schedules, and labor scheduling.Monitor cost efficiency, production output, and waste reduction.Lead quality control for all products—from cookies to coffee.Support R&D efforts for new menu items and seasonal releases.Create and refine operating procedures, systems, and training manuals.Contribute to improving and managing nationwide shipping operations.Interview, hire, and support onboarding for bakers, baristas, and cashiers.Foster open communication between kitchen staff, owners, and office staff.RequirementsProven experience managing a team.Background in Operations Management (food industry experience preferred).Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.Ability to balance big-picture thinking with day-to-day execution.A collaborative leadership style rooted in integrity, accountability, and care.Detail-oriented and organized.
