Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Landscaping & Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining the aesthetics, functionality, and overall health of the landscaped areas around our properties. The technician will perform routine grounds care, tree and shrub maintenance, irrigation system management, and general upkeep of outdoor spaces. Additionally, this role includes light maintenance and repair tasks related to outdoor environments.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform routine power washing of high-traffic areas.
• Maintain trees, shrubs, and flower beds through pruning, weeding, mulching, and pest control.
• Inspect, repair, and adjust irrigation systems for efficient water usage.
• Remove leaves, debris, and litter to keep outdoor spaces clean and safe.
• Maintain seasonal flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance curb appeal.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including chainsaws, trimmers, and blowers.
• Conduct light maintenance tasks, such as repairing walkways, fences, and outdoor furniture.
• Identify and address landscape issues, including pest infestations and plant diseases.
• Collaborate with management to plan and implement landscaping improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  
  

Required Skills/Abilities

• 2–4 years of experience in landscaping, maintenance, or a related field.
• Prior experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of plants, trees, and best practices for ground care.
• Ability to operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment.
• Basic understanding of irrigation systems and outdoor maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
  

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to use cleaning solutions and properly and safely use brooms, unload trash cans, and other cleaning supplies and tools.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Frequent walking and standing in a warehouse environment.
• Capability to operate heavy machinery such as floor scrubber safely and efficiently.
• Comfortable working in industrial environments with exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and other manufacturing conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
• Must be physically capable of sitting or standing for long periods or entire shifts.
  

Work Schedule (Non-Exempt)

This position is scheduled on a full-time basis. Specific shift times and workdays are determined by the operation and may vary by location. Business needs may require work on evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as occasional overtime. Scheduled start and end times, assigned shifts, and workdays are subject to change based on staffing and operational requirements. Whenever feasible, advance notice of schedule changes will be provided.
