Job Summary
Jede Interiors is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our growing studio. This role will work closely with clients, builders, architects, vendors, and our internal design team under the direction of owner and principal designer Jen Dean.
We are looking for someone who has a strong design eye, solid technical skills, and the ability to confidently move a project from concept through documentation and implementation. Our projects are highly detailed, and we value designers who can balance creativity with organization, accuracy, and follow-through.
Duties
- Develop residential design projects from initial concept through completion
- Translate the principal designer’s creative direction into thoughtful, cohesive design solutions
- Develop space plans, furniture layouts, cabinetry concepts, millwork details, lighting plans, and interior architectural details
- Produce accurate CAD drawings, elevations, details, and drawing packages for construction
- Create design presentations, material palettes, finish selections, and client-facing design boards
- Source and specify furniture, lighting, plumbing, hardware, tile, stone, finishes, and other materials
- Coordinate selections and design details with builders, architects, contractors, fabricators, and vendors
- Review architectural and construction drawings and identify design-related questions or conflicts
- Participate in client meetings, site visits, construction meetings, and installation days
- Maintain project specifications, selections, documentation, and design schedules
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines while staying highly organized and detail-oriented
- Assist with problem-solving and design decisions as projects move through construction
- Stay informed on new products, materials, vendors, and developments within the interior design industry
Qualifications
- 4 years of professional residential interior design experience, preferably with custom homes, renovations, or new construction
- 4 year degree in Interior design or related field.
- Strong understanding of space planning, scale, proportion, color, lighting, materials, furnishings, and interior architecture
- Strong technical drawing skills with experience producing floor plans, elevations, cabinetry drawings, and construction details
- Proficiency in AutoCAD required; experience with SketchUp, Revit, Chief Architect, or other 3D/rendering software is a plus
- Working knowledge of residential construction and the ability to read architectural plans
- Experience sourcing and specifying finishes, fixtures, furnishings, and custom pieces
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both design ability and technical documentation
- Ability to take direction while also working independently and taking ownership of assigned projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills
- Comfortable working within established project budgets and timelines
- Detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracy and presentation
- Proactive, dependable, resourceful, and willing to jump in wherever needed
- Professional and confident when communicating with clients, trades, vendors, and project partners
This is a full-time position of approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
This position is based in Utah and requires regular in-person work, client meetings, site visits, and project installations. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be comfortable traveling locally to project sites.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year
