Job Title: Quality Inspector
Department: Quality Assurance
Reports To: Quality Supervisor
Summary:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for the manufactured product, material and hardware inspections or testing to applicable dimensions, specifications or other standards are communicated to this individual through engineering drawings, procedure or work instructions. Individual performs this function under moderate supervision and may receive direction from other more experienced Quality personnel, Engineering or other individuals within the Jedco organization. Other tasks related to dimensional inspection or testing may be assigned.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Performs hardware and material release inspections.
· Performs product layout inspections of complex sheet metal components and assemblies.
· Performs 1st Piece Approval in support of production.
· Completes records or reports in accordance with applicable procedures and work instructions.
· Communicates inspection results and assists in interpretation of results as required.
· Creates NCM when reports show out of tolerance conditions and communicates non-conformance conditions to team members effectively
· Responsible for participating in all Audits as required.
· Performs First Article Inspection and records all data on the appropriate forms.
· Understands and follows Standard Manufacturing Guidelines

Qualifications:
- Detail oriented, self-motivated with excellent organizational skills
· Must exhibit working knowledge of general manufacturing processes and customer requirements
· Must have excellent communication and organizational skills aligned with the essential duties and responsibilities
· Must be proficient with layout inspections using standard measuring equipment such as height gages, micrometers, calipers, PI tapes, bore gages, borescope, etc.
· Must be proficient reading blueprints for complex sheet metal assemblies
· Strong understanding of GD&T
· Strong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively in team setting
· Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel at a minimum
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or GED required
· Associates degree in quality related field preferred
· Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or additional technical quality certifications a plus
· 3 plus years previous work experience in a manufacturing quality or technical quality role preferably in an aerospace environment
Physical Demands:
· Must be able to stand for extended periods while performing tasks and may need to move around the work facility frequently
· Must have the ability to lift, maneuver materials and parts, up to 50 lbs, as needed
· Must be able to utilize general manufacturing hand tools and equipment

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
