Responsible for efficient and safe operation of tractor-trailer to safely deliver asphalt cement and burner fuel to customers.
Job Duties:
- Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
- Accurately complete daily vehicle inspection forms
- Perform daily housekeeping on truck
- Safely operate and maintain truck
- Properly load, secure & unload material
- Accurately complete load tickets where applicable
- Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
- Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
- Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Safety FIRST mentality.
- Service focused.
- Must have valid Class A Commercial Driver License and ability to obtain tanker endorsement.
- Must Pass Jebro / DOT MVR guidelines.
Additional Information:
- Full-time position.
- Flexible schedule.
- Able to work over 40 hours per week average.
- Able to work independently.
- Comfortable working in an outdoors environment for short periods of time.
- Light mechanical skills preferred.
- All equipment along with work clothing provided.
