Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to bridge business stakeholders and engineering teams. This role translates payment workflows into requirements, data flows, and acceptance criteria, while supporting AI/ML-powered payment features.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Analysis
- Gather and document payment system requirements
- Create user stories, BPMN diagrams, and acceptance criteria
- Conduct gap analysis and define data mappings
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance
- Use GenAI tools to accelerate documentation
Payments Domain Expertise
- Analyze full transaction lifecycle (auth $B"*(J settlement $B"*(J disputes)
- Support tokenization, EMV, 3DS, and APM integrations
- Define reconciliation logic across systems
- Maintain awareness of card network rules
- Define AI-powered payment feature requirements
Delivery & Stakeholder Management
- Lead workshops and backlog grooming
- Support QA and UAT processes
- Communicate trade-offs to leadership
Data & Reporting
- Write SQL for analysis and troubleshooting
- Define KPIs and reporting frameworks
- Translate data insights into business recommendations
- Leverage GenAI for faster analysis
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 6 10 years as BSA, with 4 years in payments
- Experience with payment processors (Stripe, Adyen, etc.)
- Agile/Scrum delivery experience
Technical Skills
- Strong SQL and data analysis
- REST APIs, JSON, webhooks
- PCI-DSS, tokenization knowledge
- Tools: Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart
- Familiarity with ML/AI integration
