Job SummaryThe Commercial HVAC Foreman is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of commercial installation and service projects. This role ensures that all projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with stringent 2025 energy efficiency and safety regulations. You will lead a crew of technicians and apprentices, serving as the primary liaison between the field team, project managers, and general contractors.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership: Organize, supervise, and lead crews (typically 1–10 members) to complete commercial rooftop unit (RTU) installations, complex piping, and ductwork.Technical Oversight: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and design specifications to ensure precision in assembly and layout.Regulatory Compliance: Enforce 2025 EPA mandates for low-GWP refrigerants (e.g., R-32, R-454B) and ensure all work meets updated local building codes and OSHA safety standards.Resource Management: Manage field labor costs, track inventory, and order materials to prevent project delays.Mentorship: Train and evaluate technicians and apprentices, fostering a culture of high-quality workmanship and professional growth.Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections and "punch-list" reviews to ensure systems operate effectively and meet customer specifications.Administrative Duties: Complete daily job reports, track employee hours, and manage project documentation via digital tools (e.g., Procore, Field Insight).Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: Minimum 5–10 years of commercial HVAC experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or foreman role.Licensing: EPA Universal Certification (Section 608) is required.
