Join our Michelin Star restaurant and award-winning Chef Roberto Alcocer at Vallé, a Guadalupe Valley Kitchen as he draws on the traditions of Mexico’s renowned wine region and the bounty of local farms and sea food, to create Valle’s bold cuisine paired with a selection on Mexican wine, best enjoyed on the seaside dining veranda in the Dining Room which boasts beautiful ocean views. Guest can enjoy an intimate dining experience with a Chef's tasting menu or a la carte, or if is the case of a special celebratory evening up to eight in our private dining room. This Server position is responsible for presenting food and beverage options and submitting guest menu selections. The right person will gain menu knowledge and give recommendations from our compilation of cuisine and drink offerings. A Valle restaurant server will engage in casual conversation and create the restaurant experience by their style and service attributes. This person is committed to quality and excellence. This person is motivated to help in the success of Valle reaching a 2nd Michelin Star. The server will memorize the menu and wine pairing options and upsell as applicable. The server will correctly process final payment upon the guest’s departure. Other duties include general restaurant preparation and maintaining a sanitary environment.

The hourly rate for this position is $17.85/hr

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Fine Dining or Michelin Star rated restaurant.
• Knowledge of wine pairings.
• Preferred experience in fine dining Mexican cuisine restaurant.
• Knowledge of the Forbes standards.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to quality, excellence, and genuine hospitality
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
• Must be able to repetitively lift, push, pull & carry up to 15 lbs., frequently up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
  
  

Must be able to twist, bend and squat frequently; kneel or crawl occasionally; infrequently climb a ladder.

• Must be able to perform repetitive hand & arm movements, pushing and pulling, and simple grasping frequently; squeezing, overhead reaching & fine manipulation occasionally.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• The ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Punctual and reliable.
