About the Role
JDH Contracting is seeking an experienced Substation Crew Foreman to lead vertical drilling operations supporting critical utility infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing crews, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality production in a fast-paced field environment.
What You’ll Do
Lead and supervise drilling crews on substation and utility construction projects
Ensure strict adherence to all safety standards and conduct daily toolbox talks
Coordinate daily activities with project managers and onsite stakeholders
Operate and oversee vertical drilling equipment and ensure proper maintenance
Monitor job progress, maintain documentation, and ensure work meets specifications
What We’re Looking For
Required:
3 years of experience in vertical drilling, foundations, or utility construction
Proven experience as a Foreman, Lead, or Crew Supervisor
Strong knowledge of safety practices and OSHA standards
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
Experience working with heavy equipment and drilling rigs
Preferred:
Substation or transmission/distribution project experience
CDL license
OSHA 10 or 30 certification
