Duties
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment according to schematics and HVAC design plans
- Conduct system inspections and troubleshoot issues using tools such as ohmmeters and refrigeration gauges to ensure optimal operation
- Perform maintenance and repairs on existing HVAC equipment, including appliance repair, refrigeration systems, and property maintenance tasks
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC/R (refrigeration) diagrams for precise installation procedures
- Utilize welding, plumbing, and mechanical skills to modify or adapt equipment as needed for seamless integration into residential properties
- Operate a
driver vehicle safely for transportation of tools, parts, and equipment to job sites - Document all work performed accurately in service reports and communicate effectively with team members and clients
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction, HVAC installation, or as a service technician within the HVAC/R industry
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, welding, boiler systems, and property maintenance
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable
- Ability to read technical diagrams and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively
- Experience with field service operations involving appliance repair or maintenance work in residential settings
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating a
driver vehicle preferred - Knowledge of plumbing systems, air conditioning units, ammonia refrigeration systems, and mechanical components is advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
