POSITION: FULL-TIME (40 HOURS PER WEEK); EXEMPT


COMPENSATION: $140,000-$150,000 PER YEAR DOE


LOCATION: Hybrid. Office location is 2012 PINE STREET, SAN FRANCISCO, CA 94115

POSITION SUMMARY


JCYC is seeking a dynamic, dedicated individual to serve as the organization’s Director of Program’s (DP). The DP reports to the Executive Director (ED) and works closely as a partner with the Director of Finance. The DP supervises JCYC Department Directors and works across departments to support the successful implementation of each program. The DP will work closely with the Executive Administrative team to chart and manage the organization’s culture and strategic response to the ever-changing demands of children, youth and families. The position also serves as a secondary liaison to the JCYC Board of Directors and assists with strategic Operations and Advocacy priorities.


Together with the Executive Administrative Team, the DP will be responsible for key leadership roles, including:


Supervision and Staff Management



  • Supervise Department Directors;

  • Provide coaching and training to support managers in reaching long-term potential;

  • Set the agenda and facilitate monthly Managers meetings;

  • Support Department and Associate Directors in program planning, establishing goals, and measuring outcomes;

  • Evaluation: Assist in improving and monitoring the organization’s performance reporting systems (including program and fundraising data); ensure successful adoption of Salesforce database; Contribute to the ongoing development of the database in tracking demographic data and program outcomes.


Organizational Development



  • Responsible for promoting a positive and collaborative workplace culture including leading agency-wide initiatives and events such as agency retreats, staff wellness, holiday events and fundraiser staff participation;

  • Works with the Executive Director and Director of Finance to develop internal administrative, operational, and personnel policies as appropriate;

  • Ensures the implementation of internal policies among the program staff;

  • Mandated Reporter training and monitoring;

  • Liaison to staff-led Affinity Groups.


External Relations



  • Contribute to grant writing and reporting processes;

  • Represent JCYC as appropriate with stakeholders, partners, and funders;

  • Support and sometimes lead fund development efforts;

  • Lead liaison with SFUSD for MOU engagement and completion.


Board Support Duties



  • Serves as secondary liaison to the board of directors;

  • Supports Board Operations and Advocacy committee through oversight of scheduling, agendas, minutes and actions;

  • Serves as main contact between board members and program staff;

  • Ensures that information about JCYC programs and campaigns is communicated clearly and effectively to board members.


Other



  • Participate in advocacy initiatives prioritized by JCYC;


  • Other duties as assigned.





SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE



  • Master’s level education or equivalent professional experience in non-profit management;

  • Extensive program management experience in a dynamic, responsive environment;

  • Ability to manage complex projects and departments;

  • Highly skilled at staff management, coaching, and development;

  • Experience navigating complex issues and making difficult decisions, often in high-pressure situations;

  • Approachable, collaborative, and willing to learn as well as teach;

  • Team-player capable of working both collaboratively and independently;

  • Flexible and able to multi-task; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions;

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, and the ability to translate data into clear and simple messages for a wide range of audiences;

  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to generate respect and trust from colleagues, direct reports, and external constituents;

  • Deep passion for JCYC’s mission and values; commitment to building and maintaining a workplace that reflects the population served by the organization.




COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS


Compensation for this position is $140,000-$150,000/YR, based on experience. JCYC offers a generous benefits package including:
