ABOUT YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMSJCYC is seeking a passionate professional to join the organization’s Youth Development team and support the continuous development of young people and increase their capacity to positively contribute to the community. JCYC Youth Development department programs include: Japantown Youth Leaders (JYL), Asian Youth Prevention Services (AYPS), Tomodachi (Tomo),Nikkei Community Internship (NCI) and Japanese American Youth Alliance (JAYA). For more info, visit www.jcyc.org. POSITION SUMMARYThe Youth Development Associate Director (AD) will oversee a wide range of youth development programs. The AD will be responsible for the delivery and overall success of each program, will supervise program staff and inform management on progress and performance. In addition to program oversight, the AD will engage in strategic partnerships and work with key stakeholders to position JCYC as a key provider of youth development services in San Francisco.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities include but are not limited to:LeadershipCultivate existing relationships with strategic partners with the goal of ensuring sufficient resources and programmatic cooperation;Develop and implement strategies that will maximize the collaboration between programs and departments;Collaborate and coordinate with members of the Executive Administrative team to provide support for the youth development department and maintain a high level of communication to keep the team informed with detailed updates.Team Management and DevelopmentDevelop and implement a system to support the skill, experience, and professional development needs of all staff;Work with staff to develop objective performance measurements across all programs, to ensure consistent, high-quality output and goal setting for all employees;Identify ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and people.Program Operational ManagementEnsure programmatic goals for each program are achieved according to contractual obligations and strategic objectives of the organization;Coordinate with Associate Director to oversee program implementation in a manner that provides the best possible experiences for youth participants while ensuring adherence to all local, state, federal and internal employment regulations;Oversee all program implementation from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes;Developing or approving budgets and ensuring adequate cash flow from funding departments;Resolve complex external/internal problems and apply change, risk and resource management principles when needed.
Salary : $85,000 - $90,000
