Position Overview:
They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Tax Associate to join their tax team. They will play a crucial role in managing the firm's tax compliance and planning activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance, extensive experience in tax planning, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for tax optimization. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and timely filing of federal and state returns for individuals, trusts, and entities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and legislation.
- Conduct regular reviews of tax filings to identify and address potential issues.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize clients' financial positions.
- Provide proactive tax planning advice to clients to minimize tax liabilities.
- Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to anticipate their impact on clients.
- Collaborate with wealth advisors to understand clients' financial goals and objectives.
- Communicate complex tax concepts to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
- Act as a trusted advisor on all tax-related matters.
- Work closely with internal teams to integrate tax planning into overall wealth management strategies.
- Provide guidance to junior staff members and foster a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is strongly preferred.
- 3 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably in a wealth management or similar financial services environment. *Must have experience working with HNW individuals.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
