What are the responsibilities and job description for the SVP Commercial Lender - C&I position at JCW Group?
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large regional bank in the New York City Metropolitan area who is looking to bring on a C&I Lender to their team
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new commercial banking relationships through business development efforts, networking, and referral sources
- Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial clients with borrowing needs ranging from working capital lines to owner-occupied real estate and equipment financing
- Structure, underwrite, and negotiate commercial loan transactions
- Analyze borrower financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, collateral, and global cash flow
- Partner with credit underwriting and portfolio management teams throughout the approval process
- Maintain ongoing portfolio management responsibilities including annual reviews, covenant monitoring, renewals, and risk ratings
- Cross-sell treasury management, deposits, and other bank products/services
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain strong knowledge of market conditions, industries, and competitive landscape
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
- 5–10 years of commercial banking or C&I lending experience
- Experience with commercial credit analysis and underwriting
- Strong knowledge of commercial loan structures and cash flow lending
- Proven business development and relationship management abilities
- Understanding of financial statements, tax returns, borrowing base analysis, and collateral structures
- Experience working with middle market clients preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills
Salary : $175,000 - $250,000
