Our client, a financial services institution, is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their corporate finance team. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and supports monthly financial reporting, general ledger management, and audit preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist in month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Support preparation of internal and external financial statements
- Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts
- Assist with regulatory and statutory filings
- Liaise with external auditors and support annual audit process
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or CPA eligibility preferred not required
- 3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Big 4 public accounting or financial reporting experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite)
