What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Delivery Driver and Warehouse Associate position at JCS Supply Inc?
We are looking for a responsible Delivery Driver and Warehouse Associate fill orders in our warehouse and to distribute products promptly to our customer’s jobsites and warehouses. The primary role will be as a warehouse associate, however as a Delivery Driver, you will have face-to-face contact with customers as you deliver orders. You will safely drive a JCS Supply truck from the warehouse to each destination, providing on-time delivery and good customer service. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction.
In this role you will:
· Deliver products to JCS customers and jobsites while providing excellent customer service.
· Load and unload trucks using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
· Inspect vehicle and supplies.
· Safely operate a company vehicle at all times.
· Maintain proper truck logs.
· Follow directed delivery routes and schedules.
· Clearly communicate with dispatch throughout your day.
· Report any incidents to upper management.
· Maintain a CLEAN California Class C Driver’s License.
· Work a local route no overnights or weekends.
Our ideal warehouse drivers should have strong customer service skills, a good level of physical fitness and stamina, and effective time management. You should be highly organized with experience working with customers, enjoy communicating with people, and have the stamina and physical fitness to lift heavy items in and out of delivery trucks and work in a warehouse environment.
Requirements:
· Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver specifically with 16 to 24 foot flatbed trucks.
· Valid California Class C Driver’s License.
· Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Good driving record with no traffic violations.
