Job Overview
JCruz Express Inc, a FedEx contractor, is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician / Medium Duty Truck Mechanic to support our delivery fleet operations who specialize in preventative maintenance and repairs for medium- and light-duty gas/desiel vehicles.
We’re looking for a skilled, reliable mechanic who can keep our fleet running efficiently with strong diagnostic abilities, hands-on repair experience, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance (oil changes, brakes, tires, etc.)
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Service and repair diesel and gasoline engines
- Repair or replace faulty electrical and mechanical components
- Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools safely
- Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Coordinate with operations team regarding vehicle readiness
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive repair
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of electrical systems and powertrain components
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused attitude
