Overview
Our Receiver/Dispatcher must verify, inspect, and control all received and dispatched merchandise. Typical tasks include receiving or dispatching merchandise, checking all merchandise, preparing, loading and unloading areas, monitoring relevant data systems, and accurately completing paperwork.
Responsibilities
- Receives items into the warehouse and ensures shipments or dispatches are inspected and sorted.
- Manages packing list and/or bill of lading for all received products.
- Accurately documents any exceptions to product receipt.
- Verifies quantity and description of received materials by matching merchandise to packing slip.
- Check for damages. Uploads clear, accurate pictures associated with damage.
- Contact the customer and resolve any shipping issues.
- Communicate with customers and resolve any shipping issues.
- Creates warehouse tags for pallets/cartons/pieces received.
- Receives and dispatches all incoming shipments into the system.
- Responsible for the accuracy of inventory entries and accurate recording.
- Inventory management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- Warehouse Experience
- Well-Organized, able to multitask but also attentive to detail.
- Strong Communication skills
- Ability to think quickly and resolve issues.
- Ability to be flexible and to adapt to changing conditions quickly.
- Ability to handle multiple demands and work under pressure.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
