Job Description
Youth Baseball & Softball Umpires NEEDED for Johnson County Parks & Recreation District (JCPRD). Looking for an exciting and fun way to become involved? Umpiring may just be the perfect way to get involved and make extra.
- Prior experience great but not required.
- Great part-time job for high school, college or anyone who likes being outdoors while earning $$$.
- We train new umpires and tailor training to fit your needs.
- Minimum age is 16 years and older.
- We provide shirts and have equipment available for usage at facility.
- Work as often or as little as you like per YOUR schedule.
- Must have reliable transportation and be dependable.
- Part-time, Seasonal employment
- Pay: $20.00 - $36.00 per game
- Flexible work schedule with expected hours: 4 – 20 per week (3 hours per evening) Sunday - Thursday.
- All games are from 60 -75 minutes.

Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
Job Requirements
- Minimum age is 16 years and older.
- No experience needed, will train candidates with the eagerness to learn.
- Requires punctuality and self-accountability.
- Able to work in an outdoor environment.
- Must have good communication with coaches and players.
- Must be able to learn and apply fastpitch and machine pitch rules
JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department.
