Role Description The Rental Shop Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Alvin, Tx responsible for overseeing daily operations of the transformer rental shop. This role includes managing rental inventory, coordinating equipment preparation and returns, and ensuring all transformers and related equipment are inspected, maintained, and ready for deployment. The Rental Shop Manager will interact directly with customers and internal teams to schedule rentals, address service inquiries, and provide a positive customer experience from initial request through project completion. Day-to-day tasks also involve supervising shop staff, organizing workflow, tracking orders and documentation, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. The individual in this role will collaborate closely with operations and sales teams to meet project timelines and support overall business goals.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service and Customer Experience skills, with a focus on building positive, professional relationships.
- Effective Communication skills for coordinating with customers, shop staff, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in Operations Management, including scheduling, workflow planning, and process improvement.
- Background in Store Management or rental shop management, including inventory oversight and basic administrative tasks.
- Knowledge of electrical equipment or industrial rentals is preferred; willingness to learn technical product details is essential.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate team members, maintain a safe workplace, and uphold quality standards.
- Comfort with basic computer systems for order entry, recordkeeping, and inventory tracking.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or business training is a plus.
