Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Manager to lead our organization's efforts in promoting a safe and compliant workplace. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing environmental health and safety programs that adhere to regulatory standards and best practices. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

Objectives of this role:

Provide overall safety and environmental coordination between company stakeholders, environmental consultants, and government agencies.

Develop, implement, and oversee safety and environmental programs in compliance with all company, local, state, and federal laws.

Institute a refined training program for general safety, environmental procedures, and all applicable job positions within the company productive, quality control, and transportation positions.

Perform risk assessments and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Develop a safety incentive program.

Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records to comply with federal, state, and local government regulations.

Routinely update the company safety policy to reflect industry and regulatory changes.

Develop and implement transportation, general construction, and manufacturing policies and procedures that adhere to all relevant regulations and ensure safe transport, construction, and production during daily operations.

Ensure a safe work environment for all employees through the creation, implementation and maintenance of company directed safety programs, compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements, and promotion of a strong preventative safety culture.

File appropriate paperwork and fees with all State and Federal governmental agencies, including certifications and monthly/annual inspections of facilities in regional area.

Work closely with other departments, including safety and compliance, to ensure that all transportation-related activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Conduct monthly safety meetings ensuring compliance with all State and Federal regulations.

Ensure all transportation-related documentation is accurate and up to date.

Maintain accurate record keeping for all company safety and environmental records.

Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety and environmental-related inquiries and concerns from customers and stakeholders.

Requirements and Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent

2 years professional logistics experience or related work experience

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite

Ability to operate multiple logistics, camera monitoring, and safety specific online programs

Dependable, hardworking and an effective communicator

Able to work night, weekends, extended hours, and holidays as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
