We are a professional services firm specializing in real estate acquisition and project management. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Title Specialist to support our project teams with accurate title research and file preparation.
Job Summary:
The Title Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the success of our projects by performing title research, document review, and due diligence tasks. This position works closely with Project Managers and Acquisition Specialists to verify property records and legal documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform title searches via online tools or courthouse visits
- Review title work for accuracy and completeness
- Verify ownership and legal descriptions in project files
- Ensure documents are properly executed and notarized
- Coordinate with title companies and abstractors
- Interpret deeds, leases, easements, and other property-related legal documents
- Conduct due diligence on right-of-way files
- Handle confidential client information with care
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in title research at an abstract company
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe
- Ability to plot metes and bounds property descriptions
- Must be able to commute to the corporate office in Nevada, Iowa on a daily basis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree
