Beginning Date: 26-27 School Year
Contract: 9-month contract
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Masters Degree- Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Ohio Speech and Language Therapist license through Ohio State Board of Education
- Valid Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board license
- Knowledge of IDEA, special education procedures, and school-based therapy practices.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Specific Duties:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations, screenings, and reevaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and IEP goals.
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to eligible students.
- Deliver specially designed instruction (SDI) aligned with student IEPs.
- Monitor student progress and maintain required progress documentation.
- Participate in Evaluation Team Report (ETR) and IEP meetings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers.
- Recommend and support classroom accommodations and communication strategies.
- Maintain accurate records, therapy logs, Medicaid documentation, and confidential student files.
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and Ohio special education regulations.
- Support students with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) needs as appropriate.
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and district initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
