On-Call Audio Visual (AV) Event Technician
Part-Time | Flexible, Event-Based | Hourly
The Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven and JCC is seeking a reliable and tech-savvy Audio Visual (AV) Event Technician to support programs and events at our nonprofit organization. This is a flexible, on-call role ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to help events run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate microphones, sound systems, projectors, and presentation equipment
- Support presenters with PowerPoint and basic technology needs
- Troubleshoot audio, video, and connectivity issues during events
- Assist with in-person and occasional hybrid programs
- Break down and properly store equipment after events
Qualifications:
- Experience with basic AV equipment and live event support
- Ability to troubleshoot microphones, laptops, and presentation systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work evenings and weekends as needed
Schedule & Compensation:
- Flexible, event-based hours
- $30–$40/hour, depending on experience
