FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Position Summary:
The CDL Driver (Class A) will be responsible for transporting goods to various destinations in a safe and timely manner. This role requires adherence to all traffic laws, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the integrity of the load during transit.
Essential Duties:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport goods to and from specified destinations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues to management.
- Ensure all cargo is properly secured and complies with company safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving activities, hours of service, and vehicle maintenance.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures as well as federal and state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Assist with loading and unloading as needed, ensuring proper handling of products.
- Represent JC Watson Packing Company professionally when interacting with customers and the public.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) and Medical Certificate.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past three years.
- Registered with DOT Clearinghouse required
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Forklift experience required.
- Agriculture/Farm Equipment experience preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
