Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Field Superintendent to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. This pivotal role involves coordinating on-site activities, managing teams, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project schedules and budgets. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction management skills, a keen eye for quality, and the ability to navigate complex project requirements with enthusiasm and precision. Your leadership will drive project success, foster teamwork, and uphold the highest standards of safety and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Proven track record in managing multiple high-level projects from start to finish with successful completion.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate painting crews. Provide guidance and support to ensure high-quality workmanship with the highest-industry safely standards.
- Relationship Building: Maintain a solid relationship with our employees, clients and vendors. You are the face of JC Toland.
- Scheduling: Plan and coordinate project timelines, proactively managing schedules and resources to meet key deadlines.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work being performed, conducting regular on-site inspections and ensuring compliance with specifications and safety regulations.
- Budget Management: Work closely with the JCT Project Manager to develop detailed project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure projects remain within the budget.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on project progress, changes in the scope of work and addressing any concerns.
- Material Management: Manage the ordering, delivery, and utilization of materials and supplies for projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective use of materials throughout the project.
- Safety: Keen eye for all job safety hazards. Work with JCT Safety Manager to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; education in construction management or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in painting supervision or management with a strong background in commercial or residential painting.
- Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Must have a valid Driver’s license.
Training Requirements
- OSHA 10 & 30 Training is a plus or needed in the first 6 months.
