Farm Worker

Job Overview

We are looking for an individual or family to move into our farm house located on the 73 acre property and run the house and farm. The pay is the first level of the farm house, includes two bedrooms and the food grown and harvested on the farm. The farm worker will become an essential part of cultivating, maintaining, and caring for a thriving farm operation. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work outdoors in a variety of environments, from fields and greenhouses to livestock areas. You will be responsible for supporting planting, harvesting, animal husbandry, equipment operation, and maintenance activities. We are seeking motivated individuals eager to contribute to sustainable farming practices while developing hands-on skills in agriculture and machinery management. This paid position provides a rewarding environment where your hard work directly supports food production and farm sustainability.

Duties

• Assist with planting, cultivating, irrigating, and harvesting crops using appropriate tools and machinery
• Care for farm animals including feeding, watering, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring health
• Operate heavy equipment such as tractors, forklifts, and other farm machinery safely and efficiently
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on equipment and farm infrastructure
• Support livestock management tasks including animal handling, breeding assistance, and health checks
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including greenhouses and animal pens
• Follow safety standards in all production activities to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and team members

Skills

• Proven experience with farming or agricultural operations in outdoor settings
• Supervising experience or ability to oversee team tasks effectively
• Skilled in operating farm machinery such as tractors, forklifts, power tools, and irrigation systems
• Knowledge of animal husbandry practices including livestock handling and equine care
• Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance (welding, basic math for measurements)
• Familiarity with horticulture, greenhouse management, or growing techniques is a plus
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety standards in production
• Be able to build a shelter for animals and chicken pens.
• Be able to put up fencing and fix when needed.

Pay: $17.00 - $28.18 per hour
