Position Summary
Anderson Powersports in Reno, NV is seeking an Off-Road Technician to join our service department. This role is ideal for a skilled technician who takes pride in their craft, enjoys solving complex mechanical problems, and wants to be part of a professional, high-performing shop environment.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues on off-road powersports vehicles including ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, and side-by-sides

Perform advanced troubleshooting on engines, drivetrains, suspension systems, fuel systems, and electrical systems

Complete engine rebuilds, transmission repairs, and performance upgrades

Utilize manufacturer diagnostic tools and service manuals to accurately identify and resolve issues

Assist and mentor other technicians with difficult diagnostics and repairs

Conduct final quality inspections on completed repairs to ensure safety, reliability, and proper operation

Accurately document diagnostics, labor times, parts used, and service notes within the service management system

Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding repair needs, timelines, and parts requirements

Stay current with manufacturer service bulletins, new models, and evolving technologies

Assist with warranty diagnostics and documentation according to manufacturer guidelines

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
-
5 years experience as a powersports technician or similar mechanical role

Expert knowledge of ATV, UTV, dirt bike, and side-by-side systems

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability

Experience performing engine, drivetrain, electrical, and suspension repairs

Ability to read and interpret service manuals and wiring diagrams

Proficiency using diagnostic scanners and manufacturer software

Valid driver’s license

Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a professional shop environment
