Responsibilities
- Assist customers both in-person and over the phone with inquiries regarding parts availability and specifications.
- Utilize CMMS to manage inventory levels, track parts usage, and reorder stock as necessary.
- Maintain an organized stockroom, ensuring that all parts are properly labeled and stored.
- Process transactions using a cash register, ensuring accuracy in billing and payments.
- Collaborate with automotive service technicians to identify needed parts for repairs and maintenance.
- Stay informed about market trends and new products to provide customers with up-to-date information.
Experience
- Proven experience in automotive service or repair is preferred.
- Familiarity with dealership operations is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Excel for inventory management and reporting purposes.
- Experience using CMMS for tracking parts and maintenance schedules.
- Excellent phone etiquette with strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Previous experience handling cash register transactions is beneficial.
