The main duty of this position is to repair broken pallets. Employees must be able to use personal safety equipment while working in a manufacturing environment that includes moving machinery, fast paced forklift traffic, machine noise, and a work environment that will vary depending on the time of year. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Repair wooden pallets to company specifications
- Clean work area tidy
- Other tasks that are assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Frequent lifting and bending of nothing more than 50 lbs.
- Ability of standing and walking for extended periods of time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The work environment consists of occasional extreme temperature shifts ranging from very cold to very hot.
- Exposure to dust and loud noise (hearing protection is provided).
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and moving forklifts.
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Monday – Friday 7am until at least 5pm sometimes later, sometimes earlier
- Some Saturday work may be required
